You might feel hopeless. Like you have tried everything there is to try. You might even feel like you were simply born to be fat; you know, the “it’s-all-in-your-genes” thing. You have been losing the battle of the bulge for years, and you feel like the war is over — and you lost. It does not have to be that way. You have the power to change this area your life! But no one can do it for you. The truth is, losing weight, and maintaining your ideal weight for a lifetime is simple, it is not easy. And although there are many “tricks” to losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight, gimmicks never work.

It seems like everyone has a book or infomercial about weight loss. They want you to buy this new piece of exercise equipment, that new cook book or kitchen appliance, or some recently discovered supplement made from Doodle Berries found on a South Pacific island that will let you, “burn calories while you sleep”. Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts to maintaining an ideal weight. However, there are right and wrong ways to go about it. That is what this website is all about.

Be aware that some of the issues that I deal with on this site have to do not only with weight but with health as well. The brutal truth is that you cannot really control your weight until you begin to get healthy.
