Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet – Recipes You Can Use

Dr. Green has created an Autoimmune Diet protocol that specifically targets healing of the gut and repairs gut function.

One of the supplements that our office uses is a program from Apex called Repairvite which allows us to properly heal your leaky gut syndrome, or intestinal permeability, which is often the cause of many areas of dysfunction in a patient’s health, from thyroid problems, to cortisol problems, to IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) to ADD/ADHD.

What To Eat On Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet

Many of our patients are on Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet program for 4-6 weeks.  We give them tools to help them be successful on this diet, including a comprehensive food list and recipes.  We often get asked for more recipes!

Keep in mind that eating the Paleo lifestyle (grain free) is very similar so patients can search online (and in bookstores) for Paleo recipes, which is similar to Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet.  You will need to eliminate tomatoes, egg and possibly other foods, depending on your sensitivities.

Here are additional recipes for you to use while on Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet.  Enjoy!

I’m really confused. I keep trying to find recipes for the elimination Repairvite diet. But everything I find contains foods I’ve been told not to eat. My plan doesn’t allow bananas, almond flour, chocolate, balsamic vinegar, nuts, seeds. How many different food plans are there for Repairvite? I’m supposed to do this for 3 months, and I would love to try these recipes but most have things that I’ve been told to avoid. Any suggestions?

Hi, Jennifer. This is Dr. Green’s Autoimmune Diet, which is similar to the Repairvite Diet but he has made some changes due to his research. This is a diet he has many patients follow, while he monitors them. You will find some differences in that this diet….Dr. Green’s autoimmune diet allows the foods you mention (bananas, almond flour, dark chocolate, vinegar, nuts and seeds – all in moderation). You should consult your doctor to see which program is best for you, based on your food sensitivity panel and other health conditions.
